We are getting so close to Thanksgiving break, y’all! Like only 6 more school days for this girl!!! I’m so excited to spend that week relaxing and doing some things around the house to prepare for our little girl’s arrival (which should be within the next couple of months!!)!!!
We’ve been completing some of the book activities from my
unit as well! Thanksgiving things can be cute and fun, BUT throw in sequencing and main idea… now that’s just cute and good for the brain {and the teacher’s grade-book, right?!}!
We had a little extra time yesterday, so we made our mashed potato bowl with our Thanksgiving Top 3 List…
Makes me ready for all that yummy food…..

We have been using your Thanksgiving unit this week too!! I have done the sequencing activity and acorn activity my kiddos LOVE them !! I like the activity that you did with Run Turkey Run.. if you ever decide to update this unit with that (hint) anyway, Thank you for sharing your creative ideas and have an awesome Thanksgiving!!!

Hi Amy. Love love love your blog!!!! I am a definitely stalking it :). Lol. Just entered the blogging world. It's fun but I feel like I'm talking to myself :). Lol.
I was wondering if I could ask you a question… I teach second grade and I just started selling some of my items on TPT. I notice that you do a lot of craftivities in your classroom and sell them on TPT in your kits…. So my question is…. When you add a craftivity to one if your kits, how do you make them? Do you use photoshop or ppt? And then when a teacher buys them is she making tracers from the pieces in your kit. I did a cactus craft in my class this week but I just drew it out on construction paper and made tracers for the kids to use and then thy used the tracers to make their own on construction paper. But I'm confused how to add this to one of my kits. Can you tell me how you do it? I would be forever grateful!!!! tracers from the pieces in your kit. Adorable Turkeys! I have an American father so as a kid we always celebrated Thanksgiving, I miss it! I loved the couple of years I taught in the US and getting to celebrate with the kiddos. Enjoy the next 6 days and have a great break!

Can I just say that you are my favorite second grade blogger! My kiddos did one of your activities the other day that said “made by Amy Lemons” and they were all, “Who's Amy Lemons?” and I was all, “She's my friend who teaches in Texas and gave this to me for you!” haha (I teach in KY)
I noticed that you started your adoption process in early February and you are already anticipating your little girl's arrival. How amazing! I think we are soul mates, because my husband and I are wanting to adopt from the Congo as soon as he graduates from Seminary. We've heard the process usually takes 2 years…could you give me some insight into what agency you used? It sounds like they are efficient!
